Lexmark z25 printer light keeps blinking, will not print

There is no driver for windows 7, in fact, they don't even have a vista driver for this printer.

If you absolutely must use this printer under windows 7, you could use VirtualBox (virtualbox.org), to create a virtual computer, install XP in the virtual computer, then redirect the usb or lpt port to the virtual computer. Then you'd have to save the document to a shared folder, open the document in the virtual XP, and print. Even sharing the printer over the virtual network (or off a real xp machine and real network) won't work, since win7 doesn't know how to 'speak' Z25 'language'.

Frankly, it's a LOT easier, and really, when you consider your time, cheaper to buy a new printer that has a windows 7 driver.

Just restart and then try it will clear...................

There you will find the drivers for both Windows XP and 2000. As this printer was discontinued some time ago it would be a good idea to put a copy of the driver onto a CD or DVD and store it in a safe place. Eventually Lexmark will take the driver off of their site and you will then find it very difficult to find them again.

The printer hardware does not support vista, hence there no drivers for vista by lexmark .

You selected a catagory for the Z25, but in your subject you typed simply 1150 (X1150 I'm guessing). You can download the X1150 Vista Drivers HERE.

Download the drivers.
Uninstall any exising printers and drivers
Unplug the USB cable
Reboot
Install the new Vista drivers
Plug USB back in.

well..try this link first get new drivers..a hint..remove the other printer first, instead over lapping it

you can download new drivers here .. be sure to restart your system if you havent already since you uninstalled the printer.

Unfortunately, the Z25 isn't supported by Vista.
