Parking brake bypass for Jensen vm8012 multimedia deck.

My husband is in the process of installing the above system and wanted to know how to bypass this so kids can watch movies while I drive. Oh and when I drive I block everything else out so definitely no chance of me watching and driving.Just wanna find a way to override so don't have to pull my Ford escape apart to wire this pink wire up

Normally the pink wire goes to ground. But to be sure check this link.

You don't need the remote to bypass the ebrake withe remote use a tago switch to bypass the ebrake hook it up to the pink wire on back of the deck.

Is there anyways to override the parking brake line on a jensen vm8113

g brake line is just an earth, its a safety precaution so you dont watch and crash, if you want to have it play while you drive simply earth that wire somewhere else. connect it to the earth on your dvd player itself that will trick the system into thinking the park brake is up.hope this helps and please drive carefully :p

I'm getting power to it but the screen isn't coming on and it's not putting out any sound.

how do you know you're getting power to it? did you check for power at the conector? make positively sure you've got a good ground and that it's hooked up right. and check the fuse in the back of the radio, and in line with the wiring.

How do i bypass the parking brake on my jensen vm8013hd

I just installed the vm8013hd and I simply grounded the pink parking brake wire to the chassis prior to connecting the power to the unit and it works just fine. No bypass box, switch, codes, etc. Good luck
