You can try a few things... Take a clean rag or cloth and moisten it with rubbing alcohol and gently scrub across the scroll wheel to remove dirt and skin oils from the scroll wheel and trackball. Don't let alcohol drip into the trackball body. If that doesn't work, and you are somewhat mechanically inclined, you can turn the trackball over and remove the screws that hold the housing together (some may be under the rubber pads on the bottom of the trackball) open the housing and clean the parts that contact the trackball and scroll wheel with a clean rag or cloth. Blow out any dust or dirt in the housing, Dry the parts you cleaned with alcohol and reassemble the trackball. Use rubber cement on the rubber pads, not model cement or super glue, in case you need to disassemble the trackball again at a later time.

To hard reset of your cell

Type 1809#*500# & select reset option which restores the factory settings. A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes. It it asks security code then enter 0000 it will take some time and your handset will be restored to original settings.

or try this to Reset Default
From the standby screen, press Menu
Scroll to and select Settings
Scroll to and select Reset Settings
Scroll to and select Master Reset
A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes.
It it asks security code then enter 0000

Make sure you have the latest driver for your graphic card... Refer to the laptop manufacturer for more info.
Also, check the memory (RAM) to make sure it works correctly. Use Memtest86+ for it...

Reset Default
From the standby screen, press Menu.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Reset Settings.
Scroll to and select Master Reset.
A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes.
Enter Security code, press OK.
NOTE: The default security code is 0000.



Clear memory
From the standby screen, press Menu.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Reset Settings.
Scroll to and select Master Clear.
Scroll to and select desired option:
Handset
Memory Card
A confirmation screen appears, select Yes.
Enter security code, then press OK.
NOTE: By default the security code is 0000.

During the boot up process you will see on the screen press delete to enter set up

Press either delete or f2 during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password you can change or remove your password from there

The setting to hide the options menu and start bar can be done within the Emulation Parameters on a host PC.
From the main switch board run "Emulation Parameters" and then expand >>Emulation>>Display

This will give you a wide range of options which are useful to you:-

• Hide Horizontal Scroll Bar
• Hide Menu
• Hide Vertical Scroll Bar
• Start Menu

I would then set a key within:-

Menu Toggle Key

So that you could bring it up at any time when required. Most people use <CTRL><M> which is in fact <C><0x4D> (from memory).

This was a common problem that N800's had. From what I've read, requires an lcd replacement.

The refresh rate for LCDs is 60 MHZ, your problem is very likly a video card driver issue. Unless you've changed the cards you should be able to download the correct driver direct from support.dell.com.
