Sony DSC-P200 Broken Screen

I dropped my Sony DSC-P200 the other day and the screen now has a crack in it and the screen is mostly white when it is turned on. It workes fine still taking pictures if you use the viewfinder.

Your lcd is broken. If you can find a parts camera on ebay, you can follow the disassembly guide I am providing the link for, and replace the screen. I have followed the guide and completely disassembled mine, so I can tell you the guide is so good even a screwup like me can accomplish it. Shoot, I'd consider buying your camera for parts if you just want to be rid of it.

There is a guy in South Carolina who has good used parts at a good price. I bought a LCD and it worked great. I think his email is [email protected]

Shardian - The link you provided looks great, though it seems to be tailored for removing dustbunnies from the camera's lens mechanism, not for replacing the LCD. The directions indicate that the LCD is attached to the guts of the camera via a ribbon cable. Is it easily detached? That is, does anything need to be de-soldered or can it simply be snapped out? Thanks.

White screen , no image showing, no menu showing, no image in picture taking

if it takes a picture then it is a broken lcd screen... if it does not then it is a broken sensor and lcd screen... with the menu not showing that has nothing to do with the sensor just the screen.
