I had that same TV and just now got the Mainboard replaced for the 4th time. Under the lemon policy warrantee at Bestbuy they are letting replace it with a Mitsubishi WD-65733 and I am totally phsyched. This TV is a lemon, "Get rid of it" while you can.
What exactly is the problem with the set? Why not just fix the board that is in there? Usually, only a lightning strike that completely burns up the board or a coolant leak from one of the picture tubes that covers the board and corrodes through the parts and traces are the only reasons to replace a board. Explain exactly what you see or exactly what is wrong and we will help you from there.
Did the picture shrink in from the left and right sides only? Were the sides straight as the picture shrunk or were they bowed inward? Did the picture collapse inward from the top and bottom too?
If all 4 sides shrank, I suspect that the power supply is defective, and there is a switching IC which could have given up. Power supplies are quite easy to fix, so have a qualified tech look at the set.

We were watching it and the picture just shrank starting front the outside and working working to the center and the unit turned off. Now it won't turn on. The red light on the front stays on if I try to turn it on with the remote.
All 4 side shrank into a small square with straight lines.
I have the same problem. Both of the sides of the picture would jump then the picture just went out. I had a tech come out and said one of the part went out but it had been upgraded and you had to buy another part but that part is no longer available. Samsung is trying to give me a run around but Sears told me that if I can't get it fixed then they owe me a new TV, I have the part that is out but can't use it because of the upgrade. I need to know if I can put it in and fix it or do I need to find out about the lemon law.
