We are getting ghost images and the color is not correct

Hi, Try the auto convergence or auto focus to eliminate the problem, if this does not work, you may have to get the TV repaired, the common problem are the power amplifiers that correct the color convergence, that is why you get color shades or ghosts in the images.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

ic call stk /but you can try the magic focus button if it work for a while and come back you will have to replace the ic.

Its not clear what kind of tv you have but it appears to be older rear projection tv with three picture tube. This problem does occur due to the convergence board going bad. When you turn down the BLUE the TV will give a yellowish picture. That is why the TV has three CRT's, it needs all three colors. The problem most likely lies in the TV's Convergence Circuit. To repair yourself get KIT 10 @ 1-800-458-6053 or www. bdent.com. If not call a Factory Authorized Service Center and have them give a written estimate, avg cost $550.00.

I have a blue-ish yellow ghost tint which just appeared on my 51" 51SWX20B made July 2002. Did the magic focus got a number 5 at the end. Did you get a number when you did the magic focus?
