I have purchased 2 canon camcorders, 1 for myself and 1 for my son. Both have developed this problem where no picture is visible when turned on, which could be the lends cover not opening.

Dirt or grain of sand in the small gear box that drives closing and opening of lens cover. Remove front assy. and if you are brave dismantle gear box to clean out. Otherwise just blow without dismanling the gear box.

On our panasonic DMC - SZ6, the lense cover won't open when turned on

Lens covers are delicate things. A bit of dust or dirt inside and the the springs can't do their job. When cleaning doesn't work, to repair this I remove the lens cover and shorten the springs by cutting off a bit and then reattaching them. A small bit of mollyd to lubricate helps too. never use oil or silicone.

DCS T70 LCD does work properly .I mean to say if i try to use one function another function gets started instead of desired function

Hi,

Based on the information you've provided, it seems that the touch screen panel is not aligned. You can try Calibrating the touch screen to resolve the issue.
Calibration option is in the Main Settings 1 Menu of the Camera. Calibration option enables you to perform calibration when the touch panel buttons do not react at the appropriate points where you touch. You can use the paint pen, touch the X mark displayed on the screen. The X mark moves on the screen. Once the calibration option is finished successfully, the touch screen should work.
The Calibration option can be done only if the Menu is accessible.
You can also perform a power reset before performing the Calibration.

Performing a manual power reset

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.
This should resolve the issue.

My panasonic PTLB60NTE shuts down after couple of minutes when I use wireless mode. How can I solve this?

There is three indicators lights on the panel
1. lamp indicator.
2. temperature indicator.
3. computer input indicator.

If your projector shutdown itself without given any indication its mean that your projector function POWER OFF TIMER is on. You can off this function.
How: (two keys back side of projector one is menu second is a joystick witch have 4 arrow keys and center press is enter)

press MENU button to display the menu screen and then use joystick UP or DOWN to select the OPTION menu. press joystick to ENTER and then use joystick UP or DOWN to select POWER OFF TIMER use joystick RIGHT or LEFT to select DISABLE then press MENU two times to exit the menu.

If your projector shutdown itself with given any indication then

If LAMP INDICATOR flashing RED then lamp circuit failure its need to be repair or replace.
If TEMP INDICATOR flashing RED then the temperature inside and /or outside the projector is abnormally high.

CAUSE: The ventilation opening are covered. The room temperature is too high. The projector is located at high elevations (above 1400m)
REMEDY:clean the air filter. Remove the object from the ventilation openings or clear around the projector. Set the HIGHLAND option to ON

Lense will not extend, or if it does it retracts after a short while. Batteries appear to be OK

After talking, without any success, to your expert I tried experimenting. It seemed like the sliding lens cover was the main reason for it to behave as it did. It turned out that the lens cover had a worn track and did not always operate the lens motor switch to open it, or pressure on the cover caused the lens to retract. All it needs is a new sliding cover.
