Samsung D900i I would like to assign a ringtone and picture to a contact. How do i do it.

Go to the contacts menu in your phone. Select a contact for ex- Mary. Now scroll the font down on the name of the contact and select options. It will probably come up with add detail, assign image, ringtone options etc. These specifications are supported in majority of cellphones. This will help you out :-)

there's an app called RingoLite or just Ringo, and it lets you assign ringtones to your contacts. My bf used it on his samsung phone and he said it works. If all else fails, you gotta do it the old fashioned way and record the song you want as a voice memo lol I believe samsung lets you assign your own recordings as ringtones.

To assign ringtone to your contact on Samsung Galaxy Ace:

1. Press the contacts icon.
2. Press the letter bar on the right side of the display to find the first letter of the required contact.
3. Press and hold the required contact until a pop-up menu is displayed.
4. Press Edit
5. Press Ringtone
6. Press Default ringtone, Sound or Phone ringtone.
7. Press OK then SAVE

unfortunately in samsung j700...doesn't provide the facility u mentioned
but it allows user to assign particular ringtone and callerid for some group of contacts...
the group may have 1 or more contacts so saving each contacts in each seperate group may indirectly met ur requirement

By creating groups of contacts, you can assign
ringtones and caller ID photos to each group or send
messages and emails to an entire group. Start by
creating a group:
1. In Idle mode, press <Menu> → Phonebook →
Group → <Options> → Add.
2. Enter a group name and scroll down.
3. To set the caller ID image, press the Centre key
→ an image category → an image.
4. To set a group ringtone, scroll down and press
the Centre key → a ringtone category → a
ringtone.
5. Press <Save>.

jus go to contacts....now select option while electing the contact....Add contact option....nw make chose ringtone option!!!!!....this is general for all mobiles...may be the commands would be changed in ur mob...i guess u ve got an idea.....cheers

Go to Contacts, select the person you wish to assign the ringtone. Scroll down to the bell icon (right under the Picture ID) and press change. Select one of the five options. Number four is music that you have downloaded. Select the song you want. The screen will automatically go back to the contact's edit page. Press Save and that should do it. Unfortunately, you cannot customize text messaging for each person.

you can change it by going to your contacts on the phone. then select the contact you wanna assign ringtone and cilck  on optins then edit contact.there you will see several tabs where you can input info such as new email etc. selet the tab which has a little chat bubble icon thingy and there u can assign a ringtone, picture etc.

Before you can assign a ringtone to a contact, you must first go to "settings" and then to "ring styles". Click on "Detail" and go down to "Ringer IDs". Make sure it says "On". After that, you should be able to assign a ringtone to a contact by editing the contact details. (Custom ringtones are at the bottom of the list instead of at the top.) Hope that helps.

1. Select Phone.
2. Change the settings or enter information about the
contact:
• First name/Last name: assign a name.
• Mobile/Home/Office/Fax/Other: add a
number in any category.
You can change the number type, or set the
number as the default for the contact by
pressing <Options> and selecting Change
type or Mark as default number.
• Email: assign an e-mail address.

Graphic ID: assign a caller ID image to alert
you to a call from the person.


• Ringtone: assign a ringtone to alert you to a
call from the person.
• Group: assign the number to a caller group.
• Birthday: enter the person’s birthday.
• Notes: add a memo about the person.
3. Press <Save> or [ ] to save the contact.
Storing a number on the SIM card
1. Select SIM.
2. Select New or Update.
3. Enter information about the contact:
• Name: assign a name.
• Phone number: add a number.
• Location: assign a location number.
4. Press <Save> or [ ] to save the contact.

Good day

When you are in the Camera, about to take a photo, press the left soft button, this is your menu for shooting a picture, in there you will get the settings for brightness, flash, etc.

To add a ringtone to a Contact, go to Contacts, choose the contact that you want to add the ringtone to, select view, scroll down to the icon that looks like a bell, select it and choose your ringtone.

To add a picture go to Contacts, choose the contact that you want to add a picture to, select view, scroll down to the icon that looks like a mans head, select it and choose a picture to add.

Please be advised that you can only choose ringtones and pictures that are on the phone, not those that are on a memory card
