Unlock secured image file

I transfered images from my friends computer to mine and then burned them to DVD. After burning DVD's I wanted to delete all her images from my computer. Now, she had "locked" some of the pictures and now I cannot get rid of those files from my computer. They are on the desktop of my MAC (desktop) OS 10.x The pictures are taken with Canon D400. HELP!!!

The fact that images are 'Locked' on your computer is nothing to do with your friends camera and everything to do with what you have set on your computer- I am not a Macie So its over to you and your Mac Manual/Forums Etc.,

What's the difference between burning a cd and burning an image

Burning an image file (ISO) means that you will burn and finalize the disc. The ISO file includes a "boot sector". This will create a disc that can be used as a boot CD. Make sure that the ISO is <700 MB if you burn to CD; if it is larger, use a DVD or DVD DL. Some image files may have an IMG file type (this was the file type for bootable floppies). Unless the file is an ISO or IMG, the burn image function will not work. You will need to use another program to make an image file first. You may need to use a bootable disc to get the information for the boot sector.

Burning a CD creates a data CD which may or may not be finalized, depending on your settings.

I hope this helps.

I want to save my picture files on the cd or dvd tape but i cant transfer it.

You need a burning software to burn your picture files, music, or video.
You can use NERO Burning ROM. Download it from HERE. You can use the "Data Burning" Feature in it to transfer your files into CD or DVD.

I can not record a ISO image in my GH22N550

Try using this software, Image Burn. It works for me every time. I gave up on all others. This program will burn ISO's to ISO's, it will burn ISO's to Boot Disks, it will make files into ISO's, it does it all.

Also, just to clear up the term, when you burn a ISO you are generally trying to make a bootable disk, you are not actually burning the ISO, but expanding and burning the files onto a CD or DVD that you will use to install something on another computer.

I have downloaded the ISO file but not sure how to use it to install the windows 7 which is an upgrade version Many thanks

An ISO file is a CD or DVD image. You burn a disc with this image using a program like CDBurnerXP (a good, free program which is the one I use), or Nero or Roxio which often come preloaded on a system.

If the system has been set up correctly, ISO files should start the burner program for you when you double-click on one. Then you just need to have a disc in the burner and off it goes. Otherwise, you need to start the burning program manually and select the "burn an image" option. Specify the ISO file when you are asked for the image to burn. Do burn an ISO file to a disc using the "create a data disc" option. People often do this and then wonder why the result isn't correct.

Once you converted the ISO image to a real disc, you can either keep it or delete it.

DVD burns ''successfully''...but actually burns nothing!

What comes to mind is that you are burning to an image file and not your actual burner. Make a small data DVD and name it something obvious such as aaaa. After completion of the disk, do a search for the file and see if it is in actuality on the computer. If it is stored as an image file, you need to select the recorder type to your actual burner.
