How would i get the fax report

from the user manual:

The default fax confirmation setting is Every Error. This means that your
HP Officejet prints a report only if there is a problem with sending or receiving a fax. A confirmation message indicating whether an item was successfully sent appears briefly on the front panel display after each transaction. To have a confirmation printed for every fax, follow these instructions.

1 Press Setup.
2 Press 1, then press 1.
This selects Print Report and then selects Automatic Reports Setup.

3 Press direction right button until Every Fax appears in the second line of the display, and then press OK.

The HP Officejet will print a confirmation report every time you send a fax informing you whether the fax was sent successfully or not.

Enjoy

Can't scan with my HP officejet 4255 all-in-one

Hi
Hope you doing well this year and i am sure that thing will go good as well

the problem you mentioned : When you press the Scan button on the product control panel, nothing happens. A scan does not start.

This issue usually occurs because you do not have the full feature driver installed for the product. Button functions on the product control panel require a full feature software and driver installation for Windows Vista.

Follow these steps to download and install the full feature software from the HP Web site.

1) Turn the product on.
2) Disconnect any USB cable from both the product and the computer.
3) Open a new window to browse to the Select Software and Drivers page:
Click on the Following Link to get the Updated drivers for all OS

DRIVERS HP Officejet 4255

4) Click / select the Operating system
5) Click the Full Feature Software and Drivers option.

6) Click Download only . This option allows you to install the software at any time after the download completes.
7) Click Save , and then browse to the location on your computer where you want to save the file.
8) Click Save . The software downloads to your computer.
Tip: Make a note of the place that you saved the file, in case you want to install it at a later time.
9) When the download is complete and you are ready to install the files, click Open Folder , and then click the downloaded file. The file name ends in .exe .
10) You can accept the default location to save the files. Click Next , and then wait while the installer extracts the files to prepare for installation.
11) When the Install Wizard starts, follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

I have attached the HP 4255 officejet with my computer and want to send the file directly from my computer via fax. how i can send directly without geting print . [email protected]

Well, you'll need a modem to send a fax. Either that, or an online faxing service. Your printer / scanner is only intended to either print files, or scan hard copies into files that can then be printed (or faxed). The printer itself does not fax.

Might I suggest the following online fax service, free of charge:
http://faxzero.com/

There are plenty of others.

Hp officejet 4255 all-in-one

Once try to scan from the computer to check whether there is a communication between the computer and the all-in-one. If you are not able to scan then reinstall the all-in-one software. If you are able to scan then refresh the spooler and enable the print directly to printer also delete any pending documents and then try to print.

If you are still not able to print then install the alternate drivers by performing the steps given in the below webpage.
