I checked the power and it is exists on the connector, but when you turn it on, Logo shows up and immediately turns off, like there is no power or battery is not charged. Please help, Gary
Not sure if this will work or not but take off the face plate. There is a little indention where you can get your fingernail underneath it and pry it off. You will see a button or tab that you can press...press it. This "reboots" your unit. When I did mine...it kept all my info even after rebooting. Hope this helps! Gary

Thanks for the useful hint! I had the same problem?when I tried to turn on, it would not turn on, but after I pressed the reset button behind the front silver plate and plugged it back in, the GPS was able to turn back on again. Though, I noticed that the battery now only last for a very short time. Looks like I might have to change the internal battery if I want to take it off the charger. And this can be a pain in the butt.

Tried to remove face plate to push button as suggested above. Unable to remove it with fingernail. Is it okay to use a sharp obeject to remove it?

You may have a burned out fuse in your power cord.

I had the same problem and your advice worked wonders. Thanks so much!!
I have the exact problem. I have tried to reset several times but the problem persists. It is also not a power source issue as I have "charged" it while riding.
My GPS (same model) just stopped working. It's only three months old. It will turn on but will shut down after a second or two. It does the same even when I tried recharging it (connect to a cigarette-lighter power source). It seems unable to power up to sustain the screen display or unable to boot up the system. I tried resetting it several times and it still shuts down. Is this a software or hardware (battery, etc.) problem?
I tried for two hours on a road trip today to get my Garmin C330 to power on. I thought I just ran the battery down toofar. After getting home and plugging it in to my USB, Windows could not recognize it. I found this post, took off the faceplate, and pressed the reset button. Screen said "Charging Battery" which didn't happen before. I pressed the power button, screen came on and Windows was able to recognize the unit. Drivers are installed. The system then showed a screen stating the maps are over a year old and I need to purchase more. I then looked in My Favorites and was pleased to see my saved locations still exist.
I saw other posts about the battery only lasting a year. I hope this is a battery issue and not a software generated issue to try and get me to update maps.
Anyway, thanks for the solution below...pressing reset button got me further in my troubleshooting.
I have the same problem. After plugging in to a USB or car's cigarette lighter, there's no power at all. It's not charging.
I have the same problem with my c330
