Don't know if you solved this but we have dish network and with their remote we picked TV and hit the select button a couple of times and it removed it.

Without the remote many controlling options will be missed . Better to have a new remote to have full enjoyment from your TV options . If you can't find the exact remote , then you can look for universal remote , that works with any device including your TV . By universal remote control you can control any device or appliance at your household .
Noway to turn off captioning right away without the original remote.But U can unplug the tv for an hour,tv well reset itself back to original setting.The Captioning will shut off buy itself.Because captioning reqiure CC buttion on orignal remote and must manually turn on and off.
If you have a cox cable digital cable remote, hit info to turn off the video 1 or 2. Judjing that this is a cox cable remote, and not a sony trinitron remote, other remotes that have some kind of programmable function built in can proly turn turn that off
Without the original remote or a universal remote that does not have a display button, try unplugging the television for at least 2 minutes and plug the tv back in. This should reset the tv. If the universal remote has a display button, depress the button until you get the desired display results.
apparently if you contact logitech support they can add missing commands to your harmony if you do not have the original remote for your TV. their database stores commands from other users that have the same device.
Not sure, but have you tried getting a universal remote and programming it with a sanyo code? If this is not an option you can get MFR. remotes on ebay, but they might be costly. I went to ebay and did a search on "DS27930". I found one seller, but there was a least one. $34.95 for a remote sounds high to me.
if your tv doesnt have the original remote control that is the problem,you have to find it,if you can't find it try universal remote control.i was have same problem its been solved by this way.
