Check the ground conection and the remote conection if this one is conected to the headunit be sure to have it. if you are using a pre-amp equalizer check the remote conection on it too!!! it maybe the remote from the headunit to the amp or try to conect the remote cable from the amp to the antena remote cable on your headunit.

I have a 1200 watt sony xplod amp hooked up to a 15" SBL Gorilla sub. The bass hit for a while and then started to cut off. Now it wont work unless i touch the remote wire to the power wire, and even then...

this kind of problems usually happen when the amp is not getting enough current to power up the
amp. the moment a loud low frequency hits the amp it fails. cud be ur power unit not giving enough power to the amp or u have a loose connection somewhere on ur power line. besides 8gauge is a bit small. try using about 4gauge. should have good ground too. they draw large current so ur battery should be in top condition as well.

Kenwoodxw1000f shut off after 10 sec

the problem sounds like your new sub is drawing to much power and your amp can not handle it. bridging the amp is a good way to get the full power out of your amp. But it isnt always suggested, my solution is to get a bigger amp. I install stereo systems for a living, and i tell my customers that it is smart to get an amp about 100 more watts then the rms rating of your subwoofer.

No power to subs

I think the blue wire is a standby "on" to be hooked to separate or system switch. Without knowing how you have system wired, I can' offer much. A bit of caution; having a thousand watt amp hooked to 6x9 dooms their fate

Jbl car audio system

You may have accidently hooked the AMP up to a constant power supply. You need to hook the power for your amp to either the unit (because it is on intermittent power supply) or find an accessorised power supply for it separately. Go to this site to see if you cant rewire your AMP.

Pioneer DEH-225 Car Audio

The system remote control is usually a blue wire on your decks harness and it is for an amplifier for a sub or other speakers. It sends power to the subs amp when the deck is turned on. You may need to find the wires coming off the antenna and splice them into the red power switching wire 12v on you decks wire harness. Good luck
