I have a Sony FM Stereo/FM-AM Receiver model STR-DE325 that will not respond to volume up or down on the remote control. All of the other buttons on the remote work as they should and all functions of the...

No, I don't think there is a motor that is supposed to turn the volume - I think the volume is a push button type with one button to increase and another for down that is pushed by a clever rotary mechanism or if it isn't exactly like that the principle is probably a similar use of pure electronics.

It is clear the link between the infrared receiver and decoder and the volume electronics is broken and it will probably need a service engineer to discover where and effect a repair.

Hi do you know how to hard reset PM-0510-BV

From the home screen, press Menu - Backup and reset - Factory data reset - Reset phone. It may ask for a password. Then select Erase everything

if you can not access this area you can proceed with the following.

This will remove all data from your device and set it back to factory defaults.

While the phone is turned off, press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons together. Then, while holding these, press and release the Power button (keep holding the volume buttons). The phone should turn on and a menu will appear. Press the Volume down button to navigate to the Recovery option. Press the Volume Up to select (if that doesn't work, use the Power button to select). A yellow triangle and an Android logo will appear. Press the Volume Down and Volume Up button together and a recovery menu should appear. Use the Volume buttons to move to the Wipe data/Factory reset option and then press Power to select. Again, use the Volume Down key to choose Yes and press the Power button again to select

Your phone will restart and may take several minutes to come back up.

I've had several issues but the one now is that all my tablet will do is show a pic of an android laying down with a red triangle on it bearing an exclamation mark. At the bottom of the screen it says NO...

1. Turn tablet off. You may need to use two hands in this process to press and hold buttons properly.

2. Turn on the tablet with power button, wait a full 2 seconds from the time the tablet starts showing the red Motorola logo, then press and hold the down Volume key. (you should not hold down the power button after it turns on and logo appears)

3. "Android Recovery" will appear on top of screen if timing is done correctly. Release volume button. (if you continue to press volume down at that message, the message will cycle through "RSD, Fastboot, and back to Android Recovery. Make sure message states Android Recovery before you go to next step). If stuck at a RSD protocol or Fast boot screen, reboot the tablet by holding power button then pressing the volume up).

4. While screen states "Android Recovery", Press volume up button, the screen will say "Entering Android recovery mode" and a few seconds later an Android robot graphic will appear alone on the screen. Release buttons.

5. Hold down power button and then press the volume up key together to see the Android Recovery screen menu selections.

6. Use the volume buttons to move up and down through selection in this menu.

7. Using the volume down button, scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset"

9. Scroll down to select "Yes, delete all user data".

Locked out of my tablet by my child entering a new pass word...

To unlock your tablet, you will have to perform a factory/hard reset of the device.

Performing a hard reset will DELETE ALL DATA from internal device storage and reset the tablet back to the state before you turned on the device for the first time. Resetting the tablet does not erase any system software updates you have downloaded or any files on your SD memory card, such as music or photos.

To perform factory/hard reset please follow those steps:
1. Turn the power off.
2. Press and Hold the Volume Up and Power button at the same time.
3. When the start up screen show (Samsung logo displays on the screen), release all the buttons.
4. Use the Volume Up/Down button to navigate to "wipe data/factory reset", select with Power button
5. Select "wipe data/factory reset"
6. Select "Yes -- delete all user data"
* Allow several minutes for the factory data reset process to complete.

Reprograming my tv remote

Hi chevry,
universal remotes vary with respect to button options. For a Sanyo TV you can try these codes. (This is manual mode).
0098, 0066, 0091, 0023, 0017, 0027, 0080.
Press the TV button on the remote. Than press & hold the set button until the LED stays on. Enter the four-digit code. When the remote control recognizes the correct code the LED will turn off. If the code is not correct the LED will flash several times & stay lit. Enter the next code. (You'll have less than 25 seconds to try another code) or the remote will exit the programming mode.
How to use the auto search. (One code at a time). This will take some time.
Turn on the TV. Press & hold the set button until the LED comes on, point the remote at the TV & press the volume + once (This moves the remote through 1 code at a time. Continue to press the volume + (Do not do this very fast or you'll miss the correct code), until the TV turns off or changes channel. Than press the set button again & the LED will go off. The remote should now be programmed for the TV. Test TV by turning the on/off button on remote. Check volume up & down.

Good Luck!

Universal Remote Control codes

Most universal remotes have a search mode. They work like this. Most want the TV turned off. Than press the button (TV) than press & hold the set button till the led comes on. Point the remote at the TV than press the volume + to increase. This will take you through the codes one digit at a time. Each time you press the + the remote moves up to the next code. This may take several minutest. Once the TV turns on press the set button again & the led will go out. That's it.
