My sister got a used dryer, it had the wrong type of cord that only had the three wire setup, she bought the right style of cord, but had the four wire setup. Now like an idiot i ran the cord ground wire to the casing ground and it parked the hell out the case. I had for got that you should leave that one blanked off if the case is grounded. well, now it was wired right and the dryer works, but no heat.... can you help me? is it one of those thermal cutouts? or maybe a thermostat? or maybe even the switch selector?
Themal cutouts are just thermostats if u have put power through the casing then it will have blown both stats more than likely u will find these at the back under the heater surround guard
