I had the same problem: the hose at the base is cracked or broken, hence there is no suction. The tube needs to be replaced. I only noticed it when the cleaner was at a 45 degree angle. In the upright position it appears to be intact

Won't pick up water from the clean water side

I couldn't view u'r clip but it seems if the pipe is blocked try to remove the blockage by using a hose where you spray hot water and normal dishwashing liquid, through the pipe, to unblock it. Just do not immerse the whole machine in water! Because I do not know what machine you have. Good luck my friend!

I have a hoover steam vac F5915-900 I bought at walmart about 4 months ago. I used it about 5 times in differnet rooms. Today when I went to use it It won;t pick up the dirty water. I cleaned the filter...

Make sure the suction area of the face plate is clear of all debris. If anything else, call the number on the machine, it's still under warrantee if the machine doesn't work from normal use.

My vacumn has a aweful smell coming from it when in use. Not motor smell.

smells are usually from bacteria. I have seen this before and you can get O.K results by rinsing the machine with cleaning soloution. I like ****-n-span. try to use a cleaner that you like the smell of as it will leave a little of that smell behind. use the vacum in the wet type aplication and use it to **** up the cleaning solution mixed with warm water with about the same mix as you would use to clean a floor. then after the machine fills up let the cleaning solution set in there for 5 to 15 minutes. dump out the cleaning soloution and repeat the process with clean warm water. If it has gotten really bad then you made need to repeat the entire process one or two more times. I also take the pick up hose and clean it with some cleaning solution then rinse outside with a water hose.

I have the Quick Steamer Plus 160 Series/2070 Powerbrush. It will not release cleaning solution and will not pick up solution that had already been dispensed. Is this something simple I can fix???

I checked the bottom of the fresh water supply container and all was well there then I used a pin in the tiny air valve on the container. Turned the machine on, pulled the lever to release water and held it for several minutes and finally the water started to release and the machine works fine now.

Where the lip of the tank sits on the clear window, is the gasket there? If it is missing, it won't suck up the water. It is black, oblong (#24)and sits in a slot on the clear window providing a seal for the tank. Is the filter clean(#62), should be sitting in the square opening on the bottom of the lid, it sits right over the sucking opening.

Proceedure?

You release the water on the reverse stroke, and the machine will pick up in that same stroke. You push the machine forward to position it and pull back slowly as you pull the trigger to release solution and clean the carpet.
