Magnavox 20MF251W won't turn on at all

Hi--with no warning, my TV (only eight months old) won't turn on at all with the remote or with the on/off switch either. I get absolutely nothing, not even static. Help!!!!!!!!! The outlet works, have changed the three prong adapter I put on the end of the cord, no signs of anything burning (ie lightning strike when nobody was home to be aware of it)

mine has been doing the same thing since about the same time. To get it to work turn it over and beat on the back. This has worked so far.

Magnavox 42 LCD 42mf438b/f7 turns on/off by itself

Mine was doing the same thing. Update the firmware and it fixes the problem. Updating the firmware is done by downloading the file to a thumb-drive from the phillips product support page then plugging in the drive into the side of your television and turning it on. See your manual for slightly better instructions.

Magnavox 37mf321D HDTV won't turn on

It may be touching in the back of the tv on a power point. Yours is doing the same thing mine did before it finely all most burnt up it self and my house The metal casting that the tv mounts on in the tv ,does not have enough room in it. the metal casing touches one of the power supplys in the back and shorts out. No remote how to turn off cc

You might try a Magnavox brand universal remote. Get one with a "menu" button. Often they give nearly complete control on a Magnavox brand TV. Otherwise, the only real solution is to purchase the exact original remote. There are many vendors on the Internet selling replacements, but often the costs are ridiculous.

27" MAGNAVOX W/ CHILD LOCK ON- NO REMOTE!

On those particular Magnavox TV's you have to use the original type of remote to power it back on then un-lock the parental lock. It is a bummer that nothing else will work. Here is a link to purchase a replacement remote.. http://www.electronicadventure.us/Merchant2/merchant.mv?screen=prod
