Dear atv owner there is no need to remove the pulleys to replace the drive belt. you must open the large pulley by hand and drop the new belt in bottom of this pulley this will hold it open then pull the belt across to engine pulley then turn the rear wheels in clockwise direction this should force the belt on the engine pulley job done jim

Engine died while driving, no spark, replaced coil, now starts, idles, runs well at low rpm, but misfires when accelerating. No check engine costs thrown. What should I check next.

Change your ignition module. The distributor is a weak point of the Honda, I will always change out the whole thing than just try the coil.

My Matiz seemed to run out of power while driving and now it won't start, the oil and water were low (though recently they were fine when I checked), I put more oil in but it still won't go

You need to check if the timing belt on the front of the engine is still intact and not broken. When the timing belt breaks, the starter will spin the engine faster than normal due to less friction, and has a different sound. To check for a broken timing belt, see if the camshaft sprocket at top front of engine is turning when the engine turns. There is a timing belt cover over the belt assembly on the engine front. May be difficult to see any moving parts there with the cover not removed. Sometimes there is a rubber plug near top of belt cover that can be pulled off to check the camshaft sprocket timing mark-you just need to see if the belt is turning the camshaft. Sometimes you can remove the oil filler cap on top of engine and peer inside to see if the camshaft is turning while the engine is cranking. You may see valve spring movement inside there and that is proof that the camshaft is turning-the belt is intact.

If the belt is broken, check for valve damage before replacing timing belt. On most small engines, when the belt breaks during running, valves can get bent and not work. Check if your engine is so called "interference engine" design. If it is, bad news when the belt breaks while running. If not an interference engine design, all you have to do is replace the timing belt.
We don't see this matiz in the usa-it is not sold here.

Hi was driving my megane 2003 1.9dci and suddenly this loud rattling noise

check that the internals of the cat converter has not broken up . Not starting may be due to a timing belt/chain failure as it will cause the noise and no start situation. I am hoping that the garage would have checked that and run the fault codes as well

Change belt on snapper 722 snow blower

1. Remove the belt cover with a socket wrench. Slide the belt cover off and set it aside.
2. Remove the two belt cover stud bolts with a socket wrench to get to the auger belt guide. 3. Remove the belt guide with a socket wrench.
4. Push down on the belt tensioner pulley with your hand. Remove the old belt and set it aside.
5. Install the new belt and release the belt tensioner pulley to tighten the belt.
6. Re-install the belt guide with a socket wrench and tighten the bolt.
7. Re-install the two belt cover stud bolts and tighten with a socket wrench.
8. Re-install the belt cover and secure it with the cover bolts. Tighten the bolts with a socket wrench.

I pulled the following from a snaper model similar to yours.
The snowthrower has two drive belts, one for the traction
drive-which transmits engine power to the wheels, and
a second for the auger drive-which transmits engine
power to the auger mechanism.
Each of these drive belts are of special construction and
should be replaced only with genuine replacement belts
which match the original equipment belts. These are
available from your dealer.
Traction Drive Belt Replacement
I pulled the following from a snapper model similar to yours. Believe it should help.

1. Disconnect spark plug wire and fasten it away from
the spark plug.
2. Remove belt cover. (Located in back of the discharge shute).
3. Pull the traction drive belt idler pulley arm (See
Figure 24) away from the belt to relieve tension, and
slide the belt off the engine pulley.
4. Slip the belt off from around the traction pulley (See
Figure 29) and pull the belt out of the unit between
the auger pulley and the traction pulley (the lower
cover need not be removed for this step).
5. Reverse the procedure to install the new belt. Be
sure there are no twists in the belt, and that the belt is
properly seated in the pulley grooves.
6. Replace the belt cover.
7. Start the unit, and check the traction drive for proper
operation. See "Traction Clutch Cable Adjustment"
for adjustment procedures.

There are also several videos on YouTube on changing snowthrowr belts. (Didn't see one for your blower, but most similar and should provide a good starting reference).

The drive belt doesn't turn.

The drive belt may have just melted a notch into the rubber on the motor piston.
With the cover off, are you able to move the brushes by hand? When the brush bar turns, does the drive belt move too? If so, move it for a full rotation of the belt (make a mark with a Sharpie and move it until you see your mark again)

If there's a melted notch or "Dent" in the belt, you'll need to replace it

Gaining access to change a drive belt on mower

the belt cover should have screws with the heads on top of the deck, then there is a guide which keeps the belt in the engine pulley with 2 or 3 bolts you might be able ot get it on the gearbox with just those off and a bit of prying etc.

Belt is broken

Most upright vacuums will have 2 screws on the bottom of the vacuum. Remove both screws and snap off bottom cover to get inside of the head. Remove old / broken belt and slide agitator off from the head unit. Stretch new belt with both hands then place around the agitator and pulley coming out of the motor. Place the agitator back into place (there will be some resistance from the new belt, but that is common). Put back on the bottom cover and place back the screws. You should be all set then. Hopefully this helps.
