In the 'start menu' search box, type: System Restore
your computer should search for that program, click on it and restore to oldest date, or factory settings. be prepared for many windows updates and maybe many driver updates

Testimonial: "didn't go back enough and I went to the oldest date when it was done everything was magnified and still the same"

SOURCE: Intergrated web cam is not detected

Hopefully you are using vista 32 bit operating system.

Press fn+Esc to enable the webcam if not already available.
If you suspect that drivers are not available then you can collect the driver from the following location.

Before you install a driver, go to device manager and look for the imaging device. If you can't see imaging device. Press FN and Esc at the same time and you will see imaging device will appear. If it didnt press it again. Then go to consumersupport.lenovo.com to download the driver. Once your done installing the driver. Powercycle system and check if it will work.

Restore to factory settings/toshiba model numberPSAF3U-0PV00V

If the machine is on go to the Microsoft logo in the bottom lft and click it. Instead of shutting down the machine have it shut down and restart. Timing is important here. As it is running through its bios repeatedly push the F-8 key which will bring you to a menu that allows you to reset to factory original conditions. Hope this help's.

Factory settings restore on dell inspiron 1525 windows vista

Resetting a Dell Inspiron to the factory settings allows the user to restore the Dell Inspiron to the original operating condition as if it was just taken out of the box. Dell system includes a restore utility called 'Dell Symantec System Restore' to reset or restore your Dell system to factory setting.

How do i restore my hp hdx18 to factory install settings? completely wipe it

Turn the computer off.
Turn the computer on, and look for a message like "press BLAH to enter System Recovery".
When you see the message, press the BLAH key.
This will start a complete "restore-to-factory" install of Windows.

Or, if you have a set of "System Recovery" CD/DVD disks from HP, then insert the 1st disk,
restart your computer, and select to boot your computer from the CD/DVD drive.

Or, there may be software already on your computer that lets you "burn" a set of "System Recovery" CD/DVD disks -- have 10 CD-R disks, and 5 DVD-R disks -- you may need to use most of these "blank" disks.

BOOTMGR IS COMPRESSED CANT GET ON F8 REPEATLY HELPP I TRYED EVERYTHNGON MY TOSHIBA SATTLITE P205D S7438PC

Hello.

Saw that you posted again ...

Since you can't access F8, the only options are Repair, Factory Restore and reinstall.

Change your options (usually F1 or F2) to boot from your Windows CD. Run the Repair option.

Accessing Factory Restore (restores to the factory settings and will wipe out anything that you have installed or saved on your PC), is dependent on your hardware manufacturer. Give this a try:

http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/pma500208010_web.pdf

The last option is a complete install.

Hope this helps.

Restoring to factory settings

to restore the factory setting you must boot the laptop off of the restore CD it will wipe the drive and reinstall the factory software and drivers just walk through the prompts. holding the f8 key will not restore the laptop to factory settings it just allows for options during windows startup

Locked out

most gateway computers have a boot that shows up on the right top side of the screen when you turn it on.There should be one that says system restore example (F12=system restore/recovery) one of those push F12 ect. whatever button it shows beside it and that will recover it to factory setting which wipes out everything that the old owner downloaded it also removes that password protection.
