water started pouring out of refrigerator and i found it was coming from the ice maker. i shut the water off to the unit. there is a flashing red light on the right side wall of the freezer. the water is back on now and ice maker will not work. I've removed ice maker and have looked for anything obvious. I also have pulled the water manifold and found no dirt in the manifold. this unit is just out of warranty at one yr old. kscs25insswater started pouring out of refrigerator and i found it was coming from the ice maker. i shut the water off to the unit. there is a flashing red light on the right side wall of the freezer. the water is back on now and ice maker will not work. Thr ice maker does not get back to the "ready position" for more water to be added, to the ice maker to be frozen.

I had this same thing happen and I just fixed it! After returning from a long trip, I threw out the old ice (now mostly shrunk), but no new ice was being made. The tray where the ice is made was completely empty/dry (maybe any ice cubes there had "shrunk" away to nothing as well? perhaps part of what keeps the freezer "frost free"?).
So I filled the tray with water using a small measuring cup -- which is what the manufacturer suggests when the refrigerator is new. Now it's making ice again just fine! This might or might not work for you, but trying it won't cost you anything.
I tried this and the ice maker leaks all the water out it won't hold it in to make the ice cubes???? HelpI tried this and the ice maker leaks all the water out it won't hold it in to make the ice cubes???? Help

you have to replace the ice maker .the water is metered via a timer built in it, the unit is not wrth servicing. they cost around 50$ you can do it yourself, they come with instructions. Good luck.
You did remember to turn it back on? Mine has a handle that detects when the tray is full and you flip it up to turn it off and down to turn it on. Good Luck
the oil in the compressor has pumped up to the top hence the ice is not formed the lead valve in the compressor is not working properly so change the lead valve and you could make ice as before
From my experience, a frozen water line coming into the icemaker indicates a bad water valve/solenoid.
The solenoid is usually located at the bottom of the rear of the unit.
The icemaker arm could be a culprit if it was detached somehow, and was really in the stop mode. But, that would not cause the ice build up in the water tube.
Make sure your manual doesn't say something about inline filters, or a float that might be sticking in off position. Depending on how ice is made sometimes they have a float to where water rises so hight then gets shut off to freeze and form the ice.
