Kenmore Gas Grill will turn off after three burners are on.

Sounds like the pressure regulator is malfunctioning. Try disconnecting your gas line. Open/Close all burners then reconnecting gas. If propane, don't turn bottle off before burners. Always turn burners off first, then bottle. then bottle on before burners. This primes the regulator to the proper pressure.

This is a common problem. Try turning off the propane tank valve and disconnecting it. Then reconnect it and very slowly turn the tank valve back on. Make sure the grill burner gas valves are all off before you do this. When you turn on each burner, do it slowly and one-at-a-time. Hopefully this will solve your problem. could be the reg on the tank , not working no flow of gas ,

check if regulator fully screwed to tank, turn on tank,then last burner,should hear/smell gas. if not replace regulator

orfices are possibly clogged with spider web
and the check to see if your dial on tank is fully open and check to see if your tank is almost empty...

hi my name is mark, let me see if i understand your problem. you light the 1st burner and get a good flame. you light the 2nd burner with the 1st burner lite and it starves both burners of gas. if this grill is a lp grill and you have propane in the tank. the regulater is the problem.

Is it safe to assume that the 4th and 5th burner has a poor flame also? It sounds like a fuel starvation issue. Have you tried replacing the regulator? The regulator is the some what square shaped thing that is on the black LP hose or on the manifold (the part that has the gas valves on it), if it is natural gas. Also try cleaning out the burners and the gas valve orifaces. These will sometimes get clogged with spider webs or food particles. Another thing that can cause a problem is if you have one of those LP gas guages on the tank. I found that it was blocking the gas flow. I tried re installing it but it still caused a problem.

Looks like your regulator is not venting properly to relieve the back pressure. The best thing you can do here is replace the regulator.

sudsy, this exact same thing would happen to me every time I changed a tank. I know it's nothing to do with the grill itself. I would have to seat and reseat the regulator hose to the tank a couple of times before it would start heating normally. Your model has 3 burners and I suspect that the flame is real low on each one even on the high setting. Try connecting and disconnecting the tank a couple of times and see if it comes to life. If worse comes to worse you can order a new regulator hose. Part number P3632L. Catriver..post back.
