Need a parts breakdown for the Hobart Steakmaster 401, which was donated to our school. The motor does not run and when I opened the bottom several parts fell out.

Hobart slicer 1612 need to make the product thickness ajustment knob work . It was stuck from non use . I have tried spraying with silicon spray the two shafts, but i dont undrstand the mechanism that...

Hi, I just received an older 1612 Hobart, and fixed the same problem.

First i disassembled the linkage from the bottom, then i used a propane torch to heat the rods and the aluminum castings (carefully, bring the temp till it is hot to the touch) Hammering doesnt work well so i made a piece of pine appx 1x1" with a notch to use as a pry stick. put a thin piece of plywood against the casting so you dont crack the housing, as it is thin alum.

Worked for me, take your time

Hobart grinder mdl 4346, what is the value the control board is looking for on 1QTM and 2QTM? Is this a resistance (thermistor) and if so, what is the value? We had the motor re-wound but could not...

It is a thermistor and the value should be approximately 100k ohms at room temp.
You can substitute a pair of 100k ohm resistors to allow operation but to actually get the protector board to function as designed you will need the ~100k ohm thermistor with the correct temp / resistance curve bonded into the stator.
An option would be to use a standard motor starter for the protection although the wiring gets a bit tricky with the relays, aux switches and the reversing contactor.
Another option would be to imbed / affix a klixon type overload into the windings and wire this in series with your 100k ohm resistor.
This will still allow the board to indirectly protect the motor.

I plug my cuisinart and it will not start. It worked the last time I used.

Put the work bowl, lid, and pusher on one piece at a time - handle of work bowl faces the front of the food processor, hollow feed tube faces the back, and the sliding lock switch on pusher sleeve faces the front. Should turn on.

If it doesn't, test the motor - remove the work bowl and other parts completely. Plug the base in and turn it on, and use a pen to push in the dark grey or black button on top of the base - if it spins, the motor is still good - you may just need a replacement part. If it doesn't make a sound, it needs to be sent in to Cuisinart for repair.
