This indicates that you media (CD/DVD) cannot be read/is not recognised by your notebook drive: to make sure that you have a working drive, try inserting a know good CD/DVD. If this works, then you may have a compatibilty issue either because of the media used (eg. brand especially with Rewitable device) or the format of the data on your media (is your drive capable or reading both CD and DVD). You can assess the compatibility issue by using another computer/notebook to try to read your media. Hope it helps: let me know how you go and good luck!
If your dvd/cd drive is not working, then you can boot up using USB. I'll give you a link, helping on that. Or you've to replace your drive. but first, clean the lens of the drive and check if its wokring. If not, you've to replace it
