Question about Emerson EWC1304 13 in. TV/VCR Combo
I started a video and noticed it was at the end (everything was working fine.) So I decided to rewind the video on my TV with built in VCR and when I pushed play it gave me the sound but no picture. It looked all static. I put different tapes in the VCR and all did the same thing. I checked to see if it needed to be on a different channel (even though it never needed to be berfore). It still continued to give sound but no picture.

A common problem on this unit is the Mode Switch. It gets dirty or sometimes breaks and must be replaced - definitely not a job for the unexperienced. If you mess up just a tiny bit, especially during re-assembly, your VCR unit will never work right ! Sorry for the bad news.

The TV should be on channel 2, 3, or 4 to work correctly. There might be a small switch on the back of the VCR that lets you select the channel that it wil play back on.
Also, look on the remote control for the VCR and see if there is a button labeled TV/Video, and press that while something is playing. This switches back and forth between the TV signal and the VCR signal and it could solve your problem.
