Trouble with Saeco Magic Deluxe

THe machine was not feeding the beans well and so we cleaned all the ground coffee from around the grinder area. When we closed up the machine again, the top left red light is on (it looks like two arrows squeezing inwards). What does this mean?

The brew unit is not in securly. Remove the grounds box open the door and remove the brew unit. When replacing it put it in with a good snap and it should be fine. Some times the switch that tells the unit it is in is not as sensitive as it should be.

The grinder grinds too long, then stops and then the bean refill light goes on, ---there are plenty of beans but no coffee being made. I think the grinder is not working somehow. Its a 5 year old Saeco...

The lever under the bean hopper is set to low. Push it all the way to the back.
There is a leverbehind the door in the middle top. Pull it to the minus and try again.
If that doesn't work you are going to have to take the grinder apart and clean it.

Fix Saeco Magic De Luxe Not Grinding problem

If you leave the machine for a while, the residual ground beans in the grinder stick and clog the grinder.
- thus "timing out" with the "No beans" light.

After taking apart the grinder and cleaning it out, it still didn't grind. -
Then we ran some ground beans through it a couple of times, and then put fresh whole beans on top of the preground, and it took.

Worked great after that.

Our bean grinder has stopped grinding. It spins but the beans do not grind. The machine works fine on the ground coffee option.

Did you put water in the grinder by mistake? If the grinder is wet it won't grind anymore, have to cleaned the blades physically .
OR are you using the beans from the fridge? It's a NO NO.

My machine drinds coffee in large pieces. It doesnt grind when I set the regulator on 6 or 7 and appears message "Coffee beans is empty"

HI
One possible problem is your grinder has become separated, so your beans are not feeding equally. The beans are going to one side of the burrs and are ground into big chunks. If you remove the beans in the bean hopper and look down on the grinder. If the cork screw is off to one side that is your problem. Of you can move the cork screw from side to side you need to replace your grinder in either case.

Whole beans fall through the Grinder

You have to remove the coffee bean hopper, there are two screws on it. Below it is the grinder and there must be a rubber seal between them. Perhaps it is crooked or broken, and then the coffee beans pass and fall down.

My Saeco won't grind the beans

There's moisture in the grinder & it's clogged - just dismantle the grinder & clean it, then ensure you don't splash water into the bean hopper when you fill the water tank.
