When I turn it on it shuts off amp
Pete,
This sounds like a wiring issue. I don't know what you're turning on that it causing the amp to shut off - because you didn't include that info. Double check the installation instructions of both the amp and the other device. Make sure you're connecting to valid points in the car's wiring. If you're still having trouble, please provide the year, make and model car and the make and model of the amp and the other device. Has either worked in the car alone before - or did you install them both at the same time? Are these devices new, or used. Did you see them work correctly before? Thanks!
not real smart when it comes to this but i'll give it a shot.two subs 10" jl w3's, also have pos. and neg. at 4 gauge, remote wire to head unit... prob 20 gauge? both speakers are wired together and was bridged to two ohms. amp worked great in another car. switched to this one and no longer worked. replaced the head unit and still does not work. continue to run cheaper junk amp for power to subs and it works great. one thing though, the speakers sound like they may be blown now. could this affect the jl amp that is shutting off?
