SORRY, you can't fix them. This is the biggest "negative" going for flat planel screens today. There are multi-layered circuits inside the boards that make up flat panel screens. Once one gets cracked or broken, it's history. You have to replace the "whole screen" which usually makes up for 50-75% of the original cost.

You can replace the screen but it is very expensive. Prices have come down a lot so exactly what it will cost I don't know. Maybe another expert who services this item can tell you. Hopefully you have an extend warentee on the screen. I have found this is the only situation where I personally will buy an extended warentee.

Look into getting a second hand screen if they are available for your model. Otherwise you will need to get a new part which will need to be installed by a certified repair shop.

    Good luck.

Tv hit by tennis ball and now there is sound but no picture. Can it be fixed?

If it hit the screen unit and the display panel is bad, it could show not not show a crack but be toast inside, the part would cost more than a new set.

It does not take much of a impact to cause damage to the display panel.

There are lines through the screen (red and blue) like the screen is cracked but the screen s not cracked as far as i can see

If the set got struck on the screen the screen itself may not be cracked but the panel (The entire front where you view the image is called a display panel) may be damaged inside.

A good photo would tell me--usually it will look like a odd burst or lines and or colors more pronounced where the screen was hit and spreading out in a uneven pattern---Google for "Pictures of Damaged LCD or Plasma screens"

Sony Bravia 32" KDL

Your pannel has damage by the hit, the only way is to replace the pannel. It is costly if you are in OOW. If it is still in warranty, call service right away and claim for an replacement.

Screen has a little scratch there is sound but on picture with little thread lines coming form the scratch

you likely need a new tv. on the insides the audio pieces are a lot tougher than the delicate pieces that create the picture for you. if it was dropped and something hit it and it cracked losing your picture, I am pretty sure the tv is toast.

Cracked frame on brand new sony bravia 52" HD LCD TV

I would definetly call Sony and if it is something you can't live with return it, but remember impact damage voids the warranty, in other words if you were to drop the tv trying to return it the warranty is void. As much as you paid for that tv it should be cosmeticly a functionaly perfect. Let me know if I can provide further assistance and please rate this solution. Lone99star

Shadow on Flat Screen TV

Projection TV correct? This may take some work but it is common for a spec of dust to settle onto the Mirror inside the TV, The back side of the TV screen or onto the Lens from which the Video image is projected. Some TVs have ports that allow you to access the inside of the TV from the side, others you must remove the screen.

This is not something to do every day or every week and it will not improve the picture. You only do this when you notice that it is dirty. Any more than that and you yourself will create a bigger problem. ONLY LIGHTLY DUST the screen. Soaps, water and windex will leave streaks, damage the screen and cause more trouble.

Projection TVs are the eqivalent of a big flashlight showing onto a wall. Put you hand in front of the light and you get a shadow.

Inside you TV there is a light (the TV picture) that bonces of a mirror attached to the inside of the back of the TV. The light reflects off the mirror onto the back of the screen. You view this refelected image from the front. Spiders commonly make webs inside the TV that appear in the picture. Dust Bunnies may get blown into an area and become stuck in the way. Sometimes a lite tap, shake or blow may remove this also.
