Needing to replace the brushes on a Neff W4380X1GB

Having problems with the wahing machine (8 years old). Seems to be skipping the spin cycle and not always letting water into the machine. I think it could be that new brushes are required and wondered if anyone can explain how to get in to get the brushes away from the motor (located under the drum)?
Many thanks

Not the motor but the program switch
the motor only gets instructions from that switch or program board and the motor is running well if it does the rest of the wash well

SOURCE: Neff W4380X1 -drum does not turn

hi Of all washing machine parts, the water pump probably takes the most punishment, because it is constantly in use. When the pump fails, you can hear or see the trouble: a loud rumbling inside the machine, or a failure of the water to drain out of the tub. In most cases, motor malfunctions should be handled by a professional; do not try to fix the motor yourself. If the motor is a universal motor, however, you can change worn carbon brushes when sparking occurs, as detailed in the how to repair appliances article. To save the expense of a service call, remove the motor from the washer and take it to a professional service person, then reinstall the repaired or new motor yourself. To access the motor, remove the back panel of the washer. The motor is mounted on an adjustable bracket.

There is one other motor problem you can repair yourself. Washer motors usually have an overload protector clipped to the motor. When this component fails, the motor won't work. Before you take the motor in for service, test the protector with a VOM set to the RX1 scale. Disconnect one electrical lead wire to the protector and clip one probe of the VOM to each protector terminal. The meter should read zero. If the needle jumps higher, the protector is faulty and should be replaced. Pry up the protector with a screwdriver and replace it with a new one made specifically for the motor or washer. Connect the new protector the same way the old one was connected.

The LG wd-80160f washing machine does not shoot .. no spinning ... a sound of a spin comes aloud but no actual spinning happens.. waste and power are completely right but it does not spin..

How old is your washing machine?
A common problem with machines that are a few years old and have heavy usage is worn down brushes in the motor.
If the machine goes through a normal cycle, then stops at the spin cycle, that is probably the fault.
Spare brushes are available and relatively easy to change.

Neff washing machine not spinning. Fine yesterday, slightly funny noise and now drum not moving on wash or spin! Any clues?

Could be worn Carbon brushes on the motor.Check belt has not fallen off though...some Neff you need to buy half motor to fit new brushes as it comes this way, perhaps a good test is to blow ut any dust next to the brushes this may allow the motor to Briefy run long enough to tell if brushes are worn ..Half motor cost to buy - 60 GBP......Happy new year...

Bosch WFL2450 Washing Machine wont spin cycle

Hi there, this problem sounds as though the carbon brushes are needing replaced or infact just needing to be cleaned of dust or dirt. Its very common for the brushes to be covered in dust and fibres. Im not sure where the brushes will be on this model but I hope this helps you in someway.

Detergent & Conditioner Drawer

Perhaps it needs to be thoroughly cleaned out first - sometimes the gloopy mess collects and blocks the outlet hole.
