Intalled the downloaded Photo 926 AIO driver. When printing any document, the print status box goes to 99%, but then states document failed to print. Have gone through all ''troubleshooting'' steps on ''Help'', but still have the problem. Any thoughts?

I am trying to solve the same problem. I can get the document to print if I go to Administration tools then Services Locate Printer Spooler and right click, then select Proporties. The spooler dialog box will come up. Near the bottom "click" the Stop button to stop the spooler. Then click the Start button to restart and my documents will print. Just can't figure out why it needs a restart of the services every time a new print document is sent.

Did you figure this out? You should have a "Dell All-In-One Center" that was installed with the drivers for the printer. Try searching for it by pasting that phrase in the box in your "Start" button. When you locate it, drag the shortcut to your desktop or up in the top of the programs in the Start location. When you click on the Dell All-In-One Center icon, you should find some options for scanning.

Printer status window interface stopped working dell AIO 926

I know this sounds too simple, but get a new USB cord. I had the exact same problem and it was driving me crazy. I followed all the advice about uninstalling, reinstalling and updating multiple times and it never fixed the problem. Finally, my husband made the simple suggestion that maybe it was a problem with the connectivity of the USB cord. I didn't have much faith in it, but I bought a new USB cord and hooked it up - and I have never had a problem with the printer since then. My original USB cord (the one replaced) was the one that came with the Dell printer - perhaps there is a flaw in the cord somewhere. ?

Cant get my AIO Photo 926 Printer To scan

you can try these steps:
1.Check if the firewall is blocking any printer services

2.Check what port the printer is using (reenable the bi-directional support) and if it's on online mode

3.Disable all the firewalls

4.Uninstall the printer driver and software, then remove the usb cable of the printer.

5.Delete any items under the ff keys:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet001\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2

6.Delete any non default items under the ff keys:

8.Completely remove drivers by doing the ff: (Option for comm failure because of the upgrade from xp to vista)
Ensure there are no documents in queue.

Disconnect printer’s USB cable.

Click the Start pearl, then click All programs, Printers, Dell xxx (where “xxx” is the printer model number) and then Uninstall. Complete the uninstall utility.
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER PRINTER INSTALLED ON THE COMPUTER, DON'T PERFORM THESE STEPS, JUST RESTART THE COMPUTER.
From the start search box type spool and press .

The spool folder located at c:\windows\system32\spool opens.

Rename c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32X86 to c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\backup.

Rename c:\windows\system32\spool\prtprocs\W32X86 to c:\windows\system32\spool\prtprocs\backup.

9.Restart the computer.

10.Check th services status

Uninstall Dell All in One Center. Download the laters drivers form http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=PRN_PHT_964&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

it will fix your problem.
remember to choose the correct Operating System.

Dell AIO 926 driver is not installed, even though I installed it!

Hi, The problem here is that the CD has an older version of the driver which has some known issues. Few steps will be required to fix this.
  1. Unplug the printer
  2. Goto control panel -> Add/Remove programs (or) Programs & features (Vista), uninsuatll the Dell Printer software if listed.
  3. Download the Driver from the Dell Support Website
