Here is a link to the Creative Mediasource software for the Zen Nomad http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=8183

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click agree. This will start the download. Then run the program on your computer and you should be able to manage your Zen with this software. Let me know if it works.

Zen Xtra 40 GB will NOT reboot, reinstall Firmware or connect to computer

This is lilocowboy, I don't remember my password is to log on and I missed a part of my email address to retreive it. Hope I can get that corrected...lol I was able to get my Zen Xtra to work and wanted to share with you all what I found.

Here is the link where I found out how to get my MP3 player to work:

http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9829

Here is what I installed when it gets to that part in the instructions. My OS is Windows XP Pro so the files are based on that.

Driver: #1 - Creative ZEN and Jukebox Driver 2.01.00
Firmware: #1 - Creative Zen Xtra PlaysForSure Firmware 2.10.03
Application: #8 - Creative Software Suite for PlaysForSure-enabled Creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra Players

It works like a charm. I really like the application software because now I can put the Artist Folder with the Album folder and the tracks to that album in my Zen Xtra and not worry about dupe song names by different artists. I hope this helps you all.

Thank you walkertron for this fix
