Question about Nikon COOLPIX S6 Digital Camera
I recorded a lecture using my nikon coolpix s6's voice recording feature. the manual states that pictureproject cannot be used to transfer or play voice recordings and provides these instructions: "Select Interface>Mass Storage for USB, copy the files manually, and then play them back using QuickTime or any other WAV-compatible audio player." but the USB and Mass Storage menu items flip between each other when i press the OK button to select either one, never going to a menu where copying is an option. how do i transfer this WAV file to my computer?
If you have a USB card reader for your memory card, just plug it into the computer and the computer will treat the memory card like a thumb drive. Otherwise, once you select the Mass Storage option, you need to plug the camera into the computer and it should be treated like a thumb drive. I personally perfer the USB card reader, its a lot easier than having to keep up with a cable and remembering to change the camera over to the appropirate mode. Plus the USB Card readers can be found under 10 bucks on the net now. Hope this helps
