What do you mean you have been paid for antivirus ?
or is it i paid for an antivirus and it has not fixed my problem ?
There are plenty of freeware antivirus programs available on the internet and even microsofsts own security essentials
if you are unable to start your computer try starting in safe mode
Restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer

Reboot the computer As the computer is booting repeatadly press the F8 key as the computer is booting
If done properly the user should get to a screen similar to the below screen.
Select the option for Safe mode command prompt only
Windows Advanced Options Menu
Please select an option:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA mode
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
Debugging Mode
Start Windows Normally
Reboot
Return to OS Choices Menu
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice
select the safe mode option
then run your antivirus if still cant get rid of the virus restart again
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice.

First of all download the link below:
https://ninite.com/revo

then run it and uninstall the trend micro installation and any other programs like old expired anti-virus, that you don't want.

afterwards if you want an Anti-Virus on your machine you might try Avast. You can get it at the link below INSTALLED for you for free. The Avast has two versions Free and Paid. when it is installed it is free. If you want to upgrade then purchase the paid one. But I will tell you right now I cannot remember the last time that I had paid for a Anti-Virus.

Once you have Avast installed make sure you run a FULL SCAN of the HARD DRIVE. Good Luck.

Net protection

Are you asking about anti-virus? Everyone has a different opinion on anti-virus; but If you are seeking a FREE solution, my favorite is still Avast. It offers better real-time scanning features comparable to most of the paid solutions. For example, AVG has to scan your entire system every day and try to fix problems because the free version does not really stop attacks right when they happen.

Many people like Norton / Symantic but I don't. If their antivirus fails to protect you, you have to pay multiple times what you paid for the software to get it fixed. You also have to pay to be able to download their software again later (like if you change hard drives or change systems before your year of protection is up.

I have been reading where XP is susceptible to malware and virus because it is not as safe as vista or windows 7. My question is: Dis this computer come with a free upgrade from XP to the nexr os?

I'm sorry but Microsoft does not provide free upgrades for your computer.
However, the security difference between XP and Vista is not far apart. As long as you have a good anti-virus program, you will be all set.
My recommendations, purchase a paid version of anti-virus for stronger protection such as : Prevx 3.0 antivirus
If you prefer a good free anti-virus (not as good as paid versions), use Microsoft Security Essentials.

I think my net book have a virus

Go to download.com and install one of the free anti-viruses. It would also be worth downloading anti anti-malware product as well.

I recommend Avast Free Anti-virus and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (both are free).
