When I am trying to cut a piece of wood the blade stops midway through and I have to take the guard up so the saw can continue its way toward the wood and cut it. I tried everything (even remove the spring inside the guard) but the saw still blocks itself midway through. It started blocking after 2 years of usage. Can you help?
thanks

The picture I could get only shows one side. From my experience, these guards operate using leverage, where a little motion results in a lot of movement to the guard. That means a little damage or wear in the linkage can make a big difference. A bushing may have shattered, or a pivot hole may be worn out. Reviews of this machine mention dust not going into the bag. Make sure dust is not jamming the guard works. Take care, having to move a guard while the blade is spinning is scary.

The fact is the saw blade wont go down to cut the piece of wood, unless I take the guard up so the blade can come down. I am using a 10 inch saw blade that came with the saw.
Are you sure you are using the right diameter blade?
