Here's the link for the user manual if you need it;
check page 137 of the pdf and try the restore to original settings.
do you have the setup cd? - it has troubleshooting for the unit, which is not available on the website
there are no drivers available, it uses windows media player as a driver, but the manual and the support site;
both claim that you need windows media player 10, not 11 to synchronise. you can download it from this link;
or install it from the setup cd
just uninstall wmp11 first.
many of this type of unit and mp3 players etc have problems with wmp 11, hopefully reverting to 10 will allow you to sync
Hope this helps :)
Take out the batteries and hold power button for ten seconds. Replace batteries and see if anythings changed. If not, then plug it into a computers USB port and then hold the power button for ten seconds. Safely Remove from the USB port and then check again. If none of these work, you just have a malfunctioned device and it may cost more to fix it.
If your PC does recognize the iRiver as a USB device/drive, there is an issue with the Hard Drive.
If your computer doesn't recognize the iRiver as a USB device/drive and can
read the files, there is an issue with the Circuitry in your e10.
Turn the lock off and
connect it to the usb port and press the reset button (small hole in
lower left of unit, use a small object like a paperclip. The screen should
change eventually to the "USB connected" screen. Disconnect the USB at
the PC to get the "Ok to disconnect" message. Pull out the usb cable
and hold down the "off" button. Eventually the unit will turn off. Turn it on and then off to verify it is working.
If nothing works, your iRiver needs to be returned to the manufacturer.
Sure, connect to your computer via proprietary USB cable that comes with the device. Your computer should automatically recognize the new Spinn device. Software is also included in order to manage music, video, & ebooks (text files). Install Iriver Plus 3. Perform media search on your computer. Select files you want to put on your Spinn. Then transfer to your device. Make sure eject your device for safe removal. Thats it.
