Dear FixYa; I have a Fellowes Powershred PS 40. I was shredding some documents and I may have tried too many at once. The shredder stopped and I removed the blockage. Now however the shredder will not work at all. I tried letting it cool but it will not turn on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Chris
This shredder is supposed to reset after 15 minutes.

I hear about this all the time where I work, unfortunately the motor got overheated and is dead. If the shredder is still under warranty you may want to contact Fellowes and see if there is anything they can do.

The motor is likely still good. There is a reset on top of the motor. An ethical business approach would be to allow access to the reset button from outside the cabinet, but the typical way of business today is to not do so. You can reset the motor ( a little metal lever -- see near the red wires running over the motor in the pic) on top of the motor by opening the unit and pushing down on it. I drilled a hole in the top over the motor to allow resets when needed.
