I have the same problem and emailed Motorola for advice. I didn't tell it was because my 9 month old was chewing on my phone. They to press the Menu key and the left soft key and that this should return you to an "idle" screen where you can scroll through the menu or place calls. Failing that try the left, then menu then left again. If it still does not work remove the battery for 10 to 15 seconds, reinsert and that should do it. This did not work for me so I'll try to let it air out for a few days and try again. Good luck.

Mine did this too, Remove the batery and look at the moisture indicator. Is it red? The indicator is a circular white "dot"...looks like a sticker. If it is red, you have moisture damage. Take the battery our and let it dry out......for awhile. It may begin working again. If it has a red dot, you might be out of luck with your provider unless you have insurance. I bought a new identical phone on e-bay and programmed it. Pne day I pulled out the old phone to retreive the battery and use it on my new phone and voila! The bootloader screen was gone! I took it to my provider and had them pull the old contact info off. This phone now can be reprogrammed by my provider. Weird.

Your phone is starting in flash mode..You need to have either p2k phone tools or motorola phone tools..you can get them from www.modmymoto.com. once you have the software on your PC connect your usb cable and reload your phone

I'm getting a bootloader usb init screen

Your phone is partly fried. It needs to be re-flashed. You can do it with a USB cable and the proper software....Google "bootloader USB" for some help in finding the software. One thing to try, hold down the "*" and "#" keys while powering up the phone, this could possibly help, but I doubt it.

Good Luck!!!

Bootloader usb init

hold the end key(power) and it should restart back to normal. If it goes back into bootloader then your phones software could be corrupt or could have a wrong value in somewhere. What provider is this?

Bootloader usb init

This means that the phone firmware is corrupt - you can try to reflash it using Motorola software update, but it might not work for a phone stuck in bootloader mode:

Bootloader USB INIT

Get this Phone reflashed. Of course if you Dropped the Phone or if it went into water then Forget it about spending 35-50 Bucks on reflasing this phone. because it will go back to Boot Mode.

Bootloader USB INIT

Same thing today. Can't get it to turn on, charge or anything. I was warned not to get this phone by Alltel, that there was major problems with it, they even showed me a memo sent around to all dealers. That due to all the problems with the phone that it would be cheaper to replace/try to repair...then recall. I heard that newer versions of this phone are better, minw has been ok until now...mfg.date 2/07...
