GE wireless optical mouse suddenly stopped working. i restarted computer and tried to reset both mouse and the receiver to no avail. also changed out batteries.

Hi, my mouse work fine since pressed simultaneously the buttons of the mouse and the receiver. Previously, I had disarm the receiver, but all was fine, so I'd arm again the receiver and plug to laptop; I'd press both buttons and mouse work. For any reasson, mouse and receiver lost conection and is necessary re-establish comunication pressed both buttons. I hope my experience (my case) to be useful to someone.

My sister recently went to get her laptop fix but before the mouse was working find but after she got it back it doesnt work at all

Try resetting the mouse. On the base of the mouse, there is a red reset button. Press that, while simultaneously pressing the black reset button on the base of the charger. The laser light should becomes steady after a moment, indicating that the mouse is in sync with the laptop. If the laser is blinking, however, then the mouse is attempting to become synced. You may have to press the reset button multiple times. Hope this helps.

My driver is not instolled

You don't need a driver for this mouse. I've tried downloading some. Just try syncing it with the laptop.
