My microwave says S or 5E on the display and will not let you push an buttons or anything. The light works and the turntable goes by itself when the door is not properly closed. I have tried leaving it unplugged (for days) and it does the same thing s soon as it I plugged back in. 8888 followed by a couple of beeps then the SE comes on.

I have the same problem. Did you get an answer? Thanks. l issa
Thank you for your post, friend!
I understand that your Frigidaire microwave is displaying the error code "SE" or "5E". I have researched and the error code seems to be "SE" which means keypad is stuck. In order to remove the error code the keypad would need to be replaced.
Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would highly recommend reaching out to an expert technician to ensure the appropriate replacement part is ordered and is installed correctly to prevent future issues. I hope this helps to some degree. -Matt
