There is a metal tab on some pads that contacts the rotor to make hideous noises telling the driver they need to replace the brake pads. It's in your owner's manual.

The hiss sounds like the power brake booster has failed.....but usually that only causes the pedal to get hard. A pedal that goes all the way to the floor normally indicates a bad brake master cylinder.

Try replacing or resurfacing your rotors and brake hardware. Using brake pads similar to the oem will also help stop any problems.

Hi Shelly, Your explanation is a little short on detail. I suggest that you take a length of plastic tubing and while the engine is running, and the hissing sound is evident, place one side of the tube to your ear move the other end to the different units fitted under the dash until the noise is loudest. Once you've done that you can identify where the defective joint or unit is. Regards John

You need to have the brakes inspected. This noise is the brake pad wear warning tab hitting the brake rotor.;

Yes sound like brake booster. most of time when booster is going bad makes hissing sound when brake applied.But should not make any kind of air leakage noise at all.Replace brake booster.Hope this was helpful for you.

The high pitched whine in reverse sounds normal for a honda. Ever honda I have had makes a similar noise while in reverse. The spinning, scraping noise in drive is not normal. You might want to see a mechanic about that.
