This is called BEZEL (you say face plate). It is snap on fitted and must be pushed back on to case. Some bezels are very hard to fit.If there is not enough strength in your fingers to push it back, then you will have no option, but to visit your nearest watch repair shop. Watchmakers are using special press for fitting bezels.

I am looking for a replacement crystal for my Fossil FS-2689

You are not going to be able to get a crystal for this watch without either contacting Fossil and trying to buy it from them.
However I recommend that you go to a jeweler/watchmaker and get it done there. It is not so easy to replace a crystal in a watch. Cementing it in can go wrong easily if the cement gets on the crystal or drips on the face it can go bad.

I cannot get the back of my Bulova watch back on. I popped it off to replace the battery however I cannot get the back back on!

Most Bulova Watches have PRESSURE TIGHT backs. Meaning the back is applied with EQUAL amounts of pressure to the entire back. There are two(2) solutions:

1. Take the Bulova watch to an experienced watch dealer/repaiman, to have the back applied, or

2. CAREFULLY MAKE SURE THE BACK IS IN THE PROPER POSITION, then WRAP THE ENTIRE watch with a soft, cushy clothe and with a pair of pliers, CAREFULLY apply pressure to the center of the back plate, until the back covers seats to the proper depth(closed), at the same time BEING VERY CAREFUL not to crack the watch crystal!!

I have found a fossil watch model BG-2103. I cannot get the back off to change the battery, can you tell me how to get the back off and how much this watch cost.

mcdevito75 here, Look for any Notch in the cover that match a notch in the case, use a knife with a sharp blade and place the knife in the notch and with a slight twisting motion the cover should pop off. Depending on the age of the watch and the functions cost could be anywhere betwwen $25.00----$60.00 Fossil watches are also collectables.

Can't get the back plate of a Timex Indiglo WR30M watch back on

It is either a screw on case back or a "snap-on. I suspect that it is the latter since you don't mention that you used a tool to unscrew the case back. So getting the back on sometimes is very difficult. I have a special tool for that to apply even pressue and the necessary force and does not put pressure on the crystal. You have to be careful to not damage the crystal. If you don't get it done, then suggest you take it to a shop that has the right tool. If you have very strong thumbs you might get it done.

How do I put the back of the wrist watch on.

You probably need to go to a watch repair professional. Any business that replaces watch batteries should be able to help you. They have a special press designed to support the watch safely while they snap the back onto the case. This sometimes takes quie a bit of force and rqeuires that the watch case and back plate be perfectly aligned.

The glass front came out of my Chronograph Black Dial fossil watc

Go to a watchmaker/technician. They will have a press that they can use to apply even pressure putting the crystal back in place. Be careful that you do not lose the teflon seal sitting where the crystal goes and do not let any dirt or contaminants get to the face of the watch. Be sure you ask them to pressure test it to be sure it is water resistant.

I have a Fossil JR8103 woman watch with leather strap and the face of watch is held on by two silver dots. I can't figure out how to get the face off so I can change the battery. Help!

DONT try to change a watch battery yourself unless you have crystal press to close it and thats if the case back pops off...if it screws on then you need a case wrench to open and close it! Better to seek out a local watch repair business and avoid Walmart! :-P They arent trained to repair watches...Ive fixed a lot of their mistakes!
