A95 Power shot Images on the LCD screen are monochrome,blurred with stripes

The LCD screen while live viewing and as well as after the snap has monochrome(pikish type) blurred images with stripes . Please suggest

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your cameras warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Unfortunutly this sounds like the cable connecting the screen to the main board is either loose or damaged. I would return it to the store you got it from.

You can view images shot almost immediately on the LCD Screen. You can select the following 3 methods for viewing images.
1)Single-image screen
2)Index Screen
3)On TV Screen

The lcd screen shows stored images and menus but does not show any current images through the lens. If I try to take a picture it is totally black.

This is known problem of ccd imager chip failure in Canon A95 camera, ccd imager chip need to be replaced to get live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures.
Local camera repair shop will help you to get it fixed because ccd imager chip replacement requires expertise and soldering work.

No picture display on the LCD screen

Hi,
If camera shows previously stored images in memory card in playback mode correctly but does not show live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures then its problem of ccd imager chip failure that will be replaced to solve the issue.

The picture in my screen is a pink blur

This is known problem of bad ccd imager chip in Canon A95 camera and ccd imager will be replaced to get correct live view image.

Your LCD is only a small preview screen. I have on many occasions tested a camera and viewed on the screen. When you view the image on a computer it is enlarged to a much larger image. If your pictures appear out of focus you may have a bad lens. Set your camera to the highest mega pixel rate and retake some test images. If these are blurred you have a bad lens.

Blank LCD on Canon A95

Believe that you accidentally pressed the DISP button on the bottom back row of your camera. This manually turns the display on and off as desired to save batteries. Press the button once more to turn it back on.
