Empty everything out of the washer put it on the max heat which will be 90degree whites leave for about 5minutes to heat up place your hand on the glass door if the glass doesnt feel hot then your thermostats need replacing they r at the front under the front panel which needs all taking off is it emptying properly if not then the pump maybe blocked or faulty if it does then does the spin cycle work fast if not then u need to unplug the washer take lid off there will be a wire giong ti either sid of the motor these wires goto the carbon brushes ull need bent nosed pliers to take them out the ends of the pliers need to go down either side of the carbon brush squeeze and pull out these should have at least 8ml left of carbon these start of at about 1in in length they will need replacing

I am fairly confident that the problem is entirely due to the fact that the heater is not working.
You are going to have to wait until the new heater is fitted beore being able to tell if there is another fault.

I have a hotpoint wf440 with the same fault. An engineer called and said it was a defective computer board. He said it would cost £90 for the part. I found it at http://www.emwelec.co.uk/ for under £50. I have ordered it and will fit when it arrives and let you know!!
