My 9 y.o. rec'd this camera for Christmas & we can't figure out how to make the flash work, or how to download via USB connection. Photos will download from SD card to PC, but when save option is offered, error message indicates that ea. photo is either corrupted or unable to be processed due to an invalid or unrecognized file extension. The camera came with no software, and my pc automatically uses the Windows XP, or Adobe Photoshop, or Fujifilm photo software to download. HELP!!! What next???

After looking for awhile I found a link to the user manual to your camera. Here it is: You will need adobe reader to view this, you can download off of this web site if you don't already have it. You'll see a link to download the pdf version on the left of the site. Hope this helps get what you need!

I am using a Panasonic DMC-FX100 with a Delkin Devices SDHC 8GB card. Am unable to down load pictures because of 1 only picture on the card has a read error which is preventing the complete down load...

First try to recover all the images with a program like the one you can download here, which is free:-

Then format the card, either by:-

1.) Format by using the menus in the camera [Review> Setup> Format]

2.) Format by inserting the card into the PC or using a card reader.
Then right click on the memory card's icon in the 'My Computer' window to bring up the format option, then format the card again in the camera itself to ensure compatibility.

Flash player plays flash videos. I very much doubt that your camera produces flash video files.

My favourite video player is GOM player, which has played every format I have tried it on. You can download this for free from the internet, try at

My laptop does not have a disc drive, and when I loaded it to a friend's PC, and attempted to load the program to a flash drive, nothing there a download available that will allow me to pull...

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( ).

JVC Everio GZ-HD3 Flash Media Camcorder

If you plug in the USB cable from the camera to a Windows XP machine, the Everio disk looks like a USB disk drive, and I can copy the files over using Windows Explorer. In order to convert them to MPG files, we are using Cyberlink PowerDirector5 NE Express, since the camera produces TOD files, which need to be converted to MPG. We are using MAGIX as the video editor after the conversion from TOD to MPG.

Camera goes into Shut Down Mode & Flashes the Letter H

Hey sonax,
This H error message means either the film is loaded incorrectly, or there is an internal malfunction in the camera. To determine if the film is loaded incorrectly you should take the film and the batteries out of the camera then reinstall the batteries and try taking a picture without film in the camera. If the camera allows it then the film was loaded incorrectly and I would refer to the camera manual for directions on how to load the film correctly. If the H error message persists then there is most likely an internal malfunction and I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!
