i got a 1600 nokia cell phonei tried the mastercode generator to get reset the security code, it gides me "code error"

1. Before trying anything else, contact your service provider and askfor an unlock code. Usually, if you've been a customer of theirs forsome time, they will provide you with an unlock code for free. This is,by far, the best way to get your phone unlocked.
2. Download software to generate the unlocking code. Software isavailable on some websites for free and some pay websites that alsooffer support if things go wrong. See external links below.
3. Find the Serial number of the cell phone, also known as your IMEI number.This can be done by either removing the back of your cell phone andlooking underneath the battery, or simply by typing in *#06# into yourcell phone. It should be something like: 010082321439976/07951780736
4. Using the software you have downloaded, enter in your Manufacturer(which is in this case Nokia), and sliding the card out. Put thebattery back in and power the phone on.
5. You will see a message "Insert SIM Card". Enter all of thecharacters you see in your code, including the # symbols. To get a 'p'press * 3 times, to get a '+' press the * key 2 times, to get a 'w'press the * key 4 times. Disregard any spaces in the code.
6. In order to unlock your phone you generally need to enter only onecode. Start with the first one. If your phone is not unlocked by typingthe first code (MCC+MNC), use code "7" (Multilock)
7. Once you have finished entering a code that works you should see amessage that says "SIM is not restricted" or "Restriction off" messagedepending on your model. If not, try entering another code. Message"Cannot undo restrictions" means the phone is "hard-locked" and cannotbe unlocked by code.

To resolve this issue u need to contact the sim service provider.they will give that particular security code to unlock it.. If still the issue means revert back with ur service provider's name..

You should ask your Network Service Provider for this code when you need it. Don’t try to guess it, because after a few wrong guesses, the SIM card will be permanently disabled.
Phone Security Code:
This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. You can also set some handsets to only accept a “new” sim if the phone security code is entered. To reset it, you need the Master code code:
Master Reset Code
Sometimes known as the Master Code, this allows you to unlock a handset if you have entered the Security Code wrongly too many times.
Which is the one that you want?
The default security code for Nokia is 12345

If you've forgotten your Security code IE. your code is 54321, and you type 54231 or anything else, a few times, the phone will request the Master code which is used to reset the security code. Type any code 12845, 23105, 49521... keep going until the phone request the master code.

Blacklisting
This is not a security code, but it works like one! To help combat mobile phone thefts, the networks share a database of the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of mobile phones that have been reported stolen. Once a phone is on this list, it will not be allowed to use any of the networks.
This can be a risk if you buy a second-hand phone, because if it has been stolen, or if an unscrupulous seller makes an insurance claim after selling, the phone you bought in good faith may be permanently disabled.
Be very careful to check the source of a second-hand phone!
