Insufficient Storage Space on Device

Your phone probably has 2 storage spaces. The phone storage and the SD card storage. Go to your settings and change the preferred write disc (storage) for your phone.

First you need to check each and every app whether it is installed on phone or sdcard. If they are installed on phone then you have to move it to your sdcard so that you can save a lot of storage space on your galaxy smartphone phone memory.
So how to move the apps from phone memory to SD card? Please follow the below given steps.
1. Go to Settings->More->Application manager. There tap on any app and tap "Move to SD card". That's it, every movable data will be moved to the SD card. Do this for all the apps and you will be able to save a lot of storage space on your Samsung Galaxy Smartphone.

(Micro SD card) 3 Does the Removable media device show unused space? This means deleting things saved to the phone itself. Music, Pictures, Ringtones, Video's, Applications could be filling the phones local storage. 2 Freeing space on your 'external media' device. This means deleting things from your 'Micro SD card' (Note. If you plug a phone smart or not into a PC or laptop usb port you may move things rather than delete them. Apparently your phone storage is full.

You will need to remove some items, such as Apps, pictures or music you don't want, to free up some space. You can also first back the pictures or music up to a computer, if you want to save a copy, etc.

Some phones have the ability to put a MicroSD card into them, similar to the smaller one in this link:

You will have to check the manual for your phone to see if it has this capability.

I saw " I was having a similar issue a couple weeks back. Though I had only used half my internal storage, I still couldn't copy anything :-/ I downloaded DiskUsage App and found that there is this LOST.DIR directory with about 6 GB in files. I read online about it and decided to delete it. Free space again! I don't know if this was your problem, but I didn't read anyone mention it. Seems that the phone makes these files when you connect to computer (in case there is a disconnect without "safe disconnect"). this phone from what i have seen is not capable of downloading pictures because when you hook it to your computer the computer does not see it as a mass storage device you will have to use your txt messaging and message the picture to your email or message it to someone elses p[hone that can hook to the computer

Could you tell me where are the pictures from that you want to save? From MMS? Bluetooth? Or you downloaded from computer? If you want to save the pictures, you'd better insert a memory card in your cell phone, for the storage space of your cell phone is limited.

If you want to save the pictures that from the MMS, you'd better check if your cell phone itself has much enough storage space, sometimes, your cell phone can only save a certain amount pictures,if there doesn't have enough storage space, you'd better delete some.Or may be you can save them to the cell phone or the memory card (May be you can set the storage space when you receive from others,that depends on your cell phone).

If you want to save the pictures from bluetooth, first, you may need to set it as the following:Bluetooth-Power on -Settings-FTP settings-Shared folder-Phone/Memory card(You'd better choose the one which has much more storage space)-Then choose the folder which you want to save the pictures in.
