Finalizing the disk

I don't have a manual, having bought the unit when a store closed out all it's products and the manual was not available. I need to know how to finalize the burned DVDs.

On my unit you click setup on the remote, then system setup from that menu, then disc setup from the pop up and click finalize.

For a DVR-80HDD do the following: on remote, push DISC, then EDIT, then select finalize from menu.
Don't know if it applies to your model

SOURCE: Finalizing the disk

Finalizing a disc is a software issue. When you start to burn a disc there's a check box that will say something like "Finalize Disc" or "Allow no further recording to this disc". Depends on the software. Personally, I use Nero.

Hope that helps...

Flashing CH 24 i just picked it up from home depo bran new today what could it be ?

Unfortunately, the model you bought from Home Depot, today has been discontinued by LG.And should not have been available in stores. However, the still support it warranty wise. If you don't have an Owner's Manual or it got misplaced, you can go to the link below and download and print it for future reference.

When I burn a DVD (R- or R+) on a Sony RDR-GX300 it burns the DVD which plays on that unit only. If I try to play the DVD burned on Sony RDR-GX300 on any other brand or any other Sony DVD player or even on...

On That Type Of DVD Recorder,( RW,R-R+). You Will Have To Finalize The Disk. Finalizing is Necessary When Playing On Any Equipment Other Than This Recorder.Even IF Your Other DVD Equipment IS ( VR ) Format Compatible You Still Need To Finalize The Disk. After Finalizing,You Cannot Edit or Record on The Disk,Make Sure It's In Video Mode.

How can i find the attachable hose for this unit?

I don't know exactly ...

But, I'm gonna try to help you.

Are you talking about the water disposal or are you talking about hot air disposal, you are not clear on that.

In either event, if you cannot get what you require from the manufacturer or the store where you bought the product or, a store that sells the product or similar products, you may have to adapt hoses readily available at your local hardware store.

Think garden hose for disposal of water and think drier exhaust pipe (hose) for hot air. Your hardware store shouldhave a big variety of hoses from which to choose.

I hope this response pleases you. Thanks for using FixYa.com

Finalizing

Use a name-brand DVD, such as HP, Verbatim, etc. and make sure it is a DVD+R or DVD-RW/-R disk only.
It is most likely that the DVD you are using is not compatible.
The disk is still usable, but you can only read it on that player.
