Volume goes up by itself

First, check your software firmware version and see if there is an update. If available read your manual how to do a firmware update using your USB port, if you don't have a manual, check Bose.com for their online manual and firmware updates. I had a different problem but the firmware update solved it. Another tip to increase the depth of your bass, while doing the adaptiq process, cover your bass speaker with a pillow, this will make your bass more deeper. You need a second person to cover your bass module with a pillow. in this way, the adaptiq process cannot hear the bass sound and it will increase the bass. You might need to do this several times until you get the desired bass sound. If you have not setup using adaptiq, your better off not using adaptiq, the sound is much better. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem as this, but have lost my remote, so the system is know useles. Any way back to the point if you wiggle the cable around that goes in the speaker zone port then turn it off and back on then it should work :-D.

Lifestyle 48 locked up

Just got off phone with Bose support with this very problem during install of a VS-2 software updtae to an older LS48 system. (Bose support personnel were very helpful on phone - and walked me through procedure to solve). I presume you unplugged and replugged power supply with no resolution. In that case, unplug power supply, wait 30 seconds and while holding down the "open/close button" and the "store" button (on media center) plug the power supply back in. Continue holding until the "Bose Lifestyle" message disappears. I presume this puts the system into a diagnostic mode, as the next steps in my case were to press and hold the "erase" button while scrolling through a menu of options using the "volume up" button. I believe it was the third "volume up" press that brought me to "FLASH" on the system screen. At that point I was told to release the "erase" button and press the enter button. The system rebooted and my VS-2 install went smoothly after that.
I'd recomend calling Bose support (800-905-2138) since your lockup occured during a CD load vs a software update (just to be on the safe side) - I was talking to a live tech support person in less than 15 seconds... a pleasant surprise.

The Media Center system doesn't work and the AdaptiQ CD (2) is in the Media Center. We can't put out the CD. There's standing on the display Bose lifestyle. Has someone the solution to the problem?

Unplug the media center power at the rear power plug. Leave off for 20 seconds. Remove the AdaptIQ headsets plugged into the AUX input. Power the system back up but leave alone for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes come back and press the "open/close" button the wait 30 seconds or more for the tray to open. Be patient, the media center is processing a huge amount of data and needs time to respond to your commands. It is important to leave the media center undisturbed for approximately 10 minutes after running AdaptIQ setup. After about ten minutes, power down the power back up. You should be ready to go after that.
