Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI01TJ - Multiple Color Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Dishwasher I am moving into a new home with an existing dishwasher. This appliance appears to be newer, but when looking inside, the tub and door have a huge mineral/calcium build up. I am assuming its from the hard water that is pumped through. What do you recommend to remove the hard caked on deposits? Thanks for any advice. Nancy

Its a lime buildup.go to an industrial cleaning supply wharehouse (maybe home depot-lowes),and get delime.you can go to a supermarket and buy c.l.r. (calcium lime remover) but if its real bad you need a stronger delime.simply put the delime in the unit and run it through a cycle.you may have to do this more then once to get rid of the scale.then once a month use a cup full of delime depending on the hardness of the water.

How to replace the bottom door seal on a Electrolux Dishlex dishwasher DX303WK

How to replace the bottom door seal on an Electrolux Dishlex dishwasher DX303WK.

To Note: Before you begin, make sure you have the correct door seal for your dishwasher model. Before beginning any repairs, switch off the dishwasher and unhook it from the power source.

Materials Needed:
  • New door seal compatible with Electrolux Dishlex DX303WK
  • Screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Clean cloth
Step 1: Remove the Old Door Seal
  • Open the dishwasher door and locate the existing door seal around the bottom edge of the tub.
  • Gently peel back the old door seal from the edge of the tub. It should be secured with a rubber gasket or clips.
  • Use a screwdriver or pliers, if necessary, to remove any retaining clips or fasteners holding the old seal in place.
Step 2: Clean the Area
  • Once the old door seal is removed, clean the area around the edge of the tub thoroughly. Use a clean cloth to remove any dirt, debris, or residue.
Step 3: Install the New Door Seal
  • Take the new door seal and align it around the edge of the dishwasher tub, making sure it sits properly in place.
  • If your dishwasher has retaining clips or fasteners, use them to secure the new door seal in place. Alternatively, press the seal firmly to ensure it adheres to the tub securely.
Step 4: Test the Door
  • After installing the new door seal, close the dishwasher door gently.
  • Check for any obstructions or misalignment of the seal by running your fingers along the entire perimeter of the door. The seal should be evenly and securely in place.
Step 5: Reconnect and test the power.
Connect the dishwasher to the power source after ensuring that the new door seal is correctly placed.
Run a brief cycle or just check for leaks while the dishwasher is running normally.
If you run into any problems or difficulties throughout the replacement procedure, review the dishwasher's user manual or call Electrolux customer service for assistance. Additionally, if you are unsure about replacing the dishwasher yourself, consider hiring a professional dishwasher repair service.

Bauknecht GSX 4756w when I switch it on and set the dial to the wash setting, I close the door and it sounds as though it is about to start but after 30 secs just starts beeping. When I open it the cycle...

My dishwasher will not start: Most common d/w power is 120 volts, check for 120 volts with a volt meter at the main power harness where it enters into the dishwasher, you will have to remove the lower access panels to get to the power box. Dishwashers also have at least one and most newer dishwashers have two door switches that must be checked. You will find then behind the console at the door latch area. Each manufacture has different designs but this is a picture of what some of the newer dishwasher switches look like.

SPRAY ARM ASSEMBLEY NOT TURNING ON MY BOSCH DISHWASHER, ALSO WATER JUST DRIPPING THROUGH SPRAY ARM

If your dishwasher leaks, check these:

Main tub seal
Door gasket or seal
Water-inlet valve
Hoses
Main tub seal Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the:

  • Lower rack

  • Spray arm

  • Spray arm support

  • Wash/drain impellers

Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

Rust on the inside of the dishwasher door

It's time for a new dishwasher. If you are seeing rust and you don't know how old it is then by all means buy a new dishwasher. My experience is that a dishwasher is to live about five years. Then the problem grow to leaks on your floor and you will discover the leak a month later and you will be replacing sub floors etc. Buy a new quieter machine for less than $400. bucks. Check out Sears, Lowes or Home Depot for your best buys.

Hi my Zanussi DI 720 dishwasher is not filling up with water i have checked the water supply which appears to be fine. Can anyone help.

hi

If a dishwasher runs but doesn't fill, either something is wrong with its water supply system or it is draining water too soon.

1) First make sure the water is turned on. Check the hot-water supply stop valve, normally located under the sink. Open it all the way by turning it counterclockwise. If there is no reason this would have been turned off since the last time the dishwasher worked, go on to the next step.

2) Turn off the power to the dishwasher.

3) When the dishwasher is cool, look for the float inside the dishwasher; this is usually a small plastic dome or cylinder mounted inside at the tub's base, near the front. When you move most types of floats up and down, you can hear them click because they trip a lever (they are spring-loaded).

Lift out the float mechanism, and clean around the float tube. Many floats must be disconnected from below; to do this you'll have to remove the lower access panel. Rinse off the float, replace it in the tube, and make sure it moves up and down freely.

4) If you're experienced with minor repair work, shut off the hot-water valve to the appliance. Locate the water intake valve, behind the dishwasher's bottom front panel; disassemble the valve to reveal the screen; clean debris from the screen; and reassemble. If the screen doesn't appear to be blocked, call a repairperson

Hope this helps
