Re: Black and white
I found the user manual to your camera online and it states that you can only use black and white, and sepia when shooting movies. Here is a link to that manual http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DSCW30-W40-W50-W70.pdf
Page number 32 is where it talks about using this option.
Hope this helped.

You can select the color mode to Black and white to shoot images in black and white. If you have already captured the images in color, you can use a software in computer to change the color mode to black and white.
Thanks for understanding.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
I advise you not to do this. If you want your shots in black and white, it is very easy to convert them in an image editing program on a computer. However, if you take the pictures using the black and white setting on the camera, you can never convert them back to the original colour. This also applies to the other effects offered by some cameras- a computer program will give you any effect that the camera can, and more, and do them better, without locking you in. Offering these settings in a camera is just a gimmick.
This is the manual for your camera.
Search the pdf file for BLACK AND WHITE
http://www.fujifilmusa.com/shared/bin/FX-Z3_Manual.pdf
(copy and paste that to your browser....where the WWW is.)
says to use the FinePix COLOR.
settings : STD / (C) / (B)
This setting can be used with any of the modes.
Specifies required color tone.
This mode is effective for taking more vivid shots or black and white shots.
Hope this Helped

put your camera mode in t "P" setting then go to menu & you should see color or pictue options to switch the color back to color....i have a cybershot dsc-w55 idk what u have but try that .... GOOD LUCK !
there are two ways of doing it ...either convert the color photo to Black & white on the PC or shoot in B&W .... Try color settings or Color effects in the camera menu
Hey marafioti14,
What you need to do is select shooting mode and then under that you need to select program mode, and under program menu you need to select the color mode which should allow you to set the camera to take black and white photographs. This being said I would suggest instead of shooting the images in black and white it would be better to convert them to black and white using computer software. It is likely that the software that came with the camera allows you to convert any image to black and white. I hope this helps!
