Question about Sony Handycam DCR-PC105 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

1 Answer

Cannot record when i turn the camera on, i get a sequence of beeps and an arrow pointing upwards appears and does not leave the screen. Also, at the same time as the flashing arrow, the letter and numbers: C:31:23 in the upper right hand corner also flash. I cannot record or view what I have already recorded (no playback). Really need your help. Thanks, John

It is a reel sensor problem...try to adjust the contact of the sensor at the main board sometimes it is a poor connection or poor solder...

How do I diagnosis a problem with my foot pedal on a euro 9120. It appears the machine is not seeing it??

You have to remove it and test the connections with a multimeter. Sometimes they just need cleaning inside. The graphic seems to be telling you it thinks the foot pedal is partially depressed and won't let you use it. Turn the machine off and pull the upper part of the foot pedal upwards. Then reconnect.

How do I view video

First set the camera to Playback mode. On the back of the camera there are two circular buttons. Looking at the top circular button, the bottom option is a right-pointing arrow. Press that arrow.

The last thing you photographed or recorded will display on the screen. If this is not what you are looking for, you will need to navigate to the correct item. To do this, use the bottom circular button that has both a left-pointing arrow and a right-pointing arrow. Use the left-pointing arrow to go back through your images/recordings.

The video recording should play automatically and repeat when completed.

It powers on but then beeps & won't work

You need to remove write protect tab on the mini DV tape you are using in Handycam. If it still doesnt work after removing the tab then take out the tape leave the camera off for few minutes and try another tape (dont forget to remove write protect tab).

If this helps, please vote...thankyou and good luck!

Red Arrow on the top of the screen

It is simply a missed call symbol. If it's like an arrow pointing upwards on top of a phone receiver picture it means that your calls are diverted. You can change it in call settings.

I have a digital video camera DCR-TVR140 and when I put the little casset on the screen(on center) appear a litttle arrow blinking and also a beep beep sound for maybe 5-10 seconds and still like that with...

Do you see any error number on LCD such as C32:11
If no.
1) It could be the Digital 8 tape is at the end set the unit on VTR mode then rewin the tape
2) The tab for record protection is on that mean the red tab at the right hand side full red indicated SAVE just turn to REC position in this case you can try on VTR mode it should work
